ABOUT ME
My name is April, and I am passionate about communications.

 

Though I maintain a Master’s degree in communications, I pride myself on my experience as well. In fact, a great deal of my communications experience is rooted in fashion and entertainment, so I thrive in fast-paced environments. While I have acquired experience working for big name for-profit companies like NBC Universal, Viacom, and Warner Bros, I have also served in the non-profit sector.

With a background in marketing and public relations,

I understand how these two industries work hand in hand. 

MERGING SKILLS TO CREATE WELL COMMUNICATED MESSAGES
Some clients hire me to direct talent for their productions or on set. I instruct talent with ease, by utilizing the skills acquired as a print and runway model for companies such as Hallmark, Mercedes-Benz,  and MTV.

 

Having both a talent's perspective and a marketer's perspective helps me to pair needs to convey any clients message. This skill has allowed me to excel in coaching, casting, producing, and staffing projects.

NON-VERBAL COMMUNICATIONS

Body language is a form of non-verbal communication. It is extremely important to hire and train talent for productions that rely solely on the mood and enthusiasm conveyed during the presentation of the product. Time is vital and first impressions are lasting. When talent is on the runway or set, they have a limited amount of time to capture the attention of the audience.
